Virbon Frial slipped past the Ayuyus for MHS 2’s winning goal 24 minutes into the first half. Frial, assisted by sophomore Frank Gu, returned with three more attempts alongside Darren Gabrido.
Both squads resulted in a stalemate in the second half.
In a following game, “Mount Carmel School scored the first two goals before MHS [1] answered with senior forward Mike Camacho’s goal in the 23rd minute,” according to MHS head coach Joseph Elger in an email.
“MCS scored another goal then pulled away late, with three goals in the last 15 minutes,” Elger added.
Games will continue this week starting tomorrow, 4:15 p.m. between Saipan Southern High School and MCS.
