He said individuals must visit the mayor’s office at the Afetnas Building in San Antonio to submit or fill out required documents.
All applicants will be placed on a waiting list and will be notified when pets are available, he added.
The required documents include an ID, mailing address and contact number.
In the dog adopt ion program, an applicant will be charged $20 as adoption fee for pets 4 months old and below, and another $20 for altering or neutering fee.
For pets that are over 4 months old, Lizama said they will charge an applicant $50 including the $10 for vaccination.
Lizama said they are now in the process of building a transfer station in Chalan Kanoa.
He said when the dog kennel starts to operate in Lower Base they will need to have a transfer station as a temporary cell for the dogs.
Last week, some lawmakers promised to provide dog traps for the program.
Lizama is also seeking assistance from the business sector to provide dog food that will be used for the dog traps.
