FSM government vessel arrives in Yap

The FSM Department of Transportation, Communication and Infrastructure  has dispatched the ship to Yap at the request of the state government for the vessel to continue the regular services which the MV Hapilmohol has been providing in the Outer Islands.

The MV. Hapilmohol has departed from Yap on Friday April 4, for dry-dock at a ship repair facility in  China.

The Caroline Voyager will make two trip runs to the Neighboring Islands before returning back to homeport in Pohnpei.

The vessel preparing to depart sometime this week to bring regular services to the people in the Neighboring Islands who rely on field trip runs. The Departments of Health Services and Education will be among the services that will be going out on the first run.

The first run is expected to complete during the third week of April at which time Wa’ab Shipping Agency will prepare the vessel for the second run which is scheduled to depart during the third week.
