Event overall chairman Dave B. Guerrero said the turnout “was very good.”
All of the money raised will go to the Commonwealth Cancer Association.
The Pacific Islands Club team raised the biggest amount in the Pution or corporate category, while the Atdao team raised the most amount of money in the government/non-government organization category.
Team Bodig raised the most in the Pu’lan or family category, and bagged three other awards —Best Tent, Best Spirit and Most Luminaries Sold.
The joint team of IT&E and Saipan Southern High School won the Best Baton Award while the Pacific Wellness/Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School team walked the most number of laps.
Cancer survivors and those who are still fighting the disease were also honored and given medallions.
