The Dragon’s young gunner Austin Blas nailed 11 points during the first quarter playing side by side with teammate EJ Mori who bagged his second charity followed by a bold shot taken downtown. At the end of the first quarter the scores were up, 18-13 with the Dragons leading the way.
It was all downhill for the Saipan team beginning in the second quarter. Blas garnered a total of eight points in the second quarter igniting the Dragon’s winning rally. Teammate Edmund Eduardo refused to let his basketball talents go unnoticed on the arena. Eduardo nailed 10 points throughout the second quarter giving leeway to the Dragons to balloon the gap to 38-19.
Barely making five points during the third quarter the Rollers were left behind during the second half of the bout. Eduardo nailed another eight points in the third and fourth quarter securing the win for Guam, 52-31. The Dragons were in rapport after being crowned the Docomo Easter champions.
The championship matched continued on yesterday with the Dragons notching the championships in the U20 age group as well.
