Bank of Guam donates $3,000 to cancer march

Title sponsorship is the most prestigious level of sponsorship of the MMAC.

Bank of Guam will also be participating as a team along with Garapan Elementary School.

“The 2011 MMAC committee is extremely grateful for the support the Bank of Guam has provided the MMAC over the years.  Their donation will go a long way in supporting this worthy cause.  We’d like to thank the staff and management of Bank of Guam for their continued support of the MMAC,” said 2011 public relations committee chairman Christopher A. Concepcion.

The Marianas March Against Cancer is the largest cancer fundraising event in the CNMI.  It is the signature fundraising event of the Commonwealth Cancer Association, a volunteer-led non-profit organization that ensures all funds raised are spent locally on cancer patient assistance, cancer awareness programs and other cancer related services.

“We are inviting the entire community to join us for a fun night of fundraising all in the name of cancer.  There will be games, great food, live entertainment and other events going on throughout the night so please bring all your friends and family and help support the fight against cancer.

Purchase a luminary or raffle ticket for only $5 each.  Contact 2011 MMAC luminary committee chairwoman Catherine Attao-Toves at 285-4089 or email [email protected] for more information,” said Concepcion.

“And as a reminder, we will be holding the annual cancer survivor dinner at 6 p.m.  Anyone who has battled cancer or is currently battling cancer is invited to attend the survivor dinner held in their honor.  Please contact 2011 survivor committee chairwoman Nora Sablan at 235-0994 or email [email protected] for more information,” he added.

This year’s march will be held on May 13-14 from 5:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Hopwood Junior High School field in Chalan Piao.
