Red Sox falls to Survivors in Junior League

Survivors Isiah Cruz hit a single at the bottom of the second and returned home via wild pitch to hand the Survivors a 1-0 lead.

The Red Sox – scoring no runs in the first three-innings – faltered on the defense, allowing the Survivors to score three more runs. Jose Lizama drew a run-scoring single at the bottom of the third and reached home plate on Truman Shiro’s sacrifice bat.

Red Sox center fielder Jonathan Cabrera replied with an RBI double, driving Juan Deleon Guerrero and Jerald Cabrera in.

Cruz went 2-for-3 with two runs, one single, and one triple. Survivors first baseman Philip Seman went 2-for-3 with one run, one stolen base, one single, and a double. Jeremy Lizama went 3-for-4 with one run, two singles, a triple, and a stolen base.

Falcons 22, Lions 9

The Natibu Sports Association Tanapag Falcons scored 22-9 to end the Tan Siu Lin Foundation-Rep. Fred Deleon Guerrero-Rep. Ramon S. Basa Kagman Lions in an earlier game.

The Falcons pulled away at the top of the sixth, with first baseman Darion Jones scoring their 10th run of the day. Gino Dela Cruz later capped the game with a three-run double, sending Barry Sonumai, Angel Palacios, and James Philip to home plate. AJ Evangelista went 3-for-6 and led the Falcons with five runs and three singles. Frankie Norita, Jones, Sonumai, and Philip gathered two runs apiece. Dela Cruz earned four runs and walked five times. Falcons starting pitcher Frankie Lieto struck out seven and walked two before switching out for Norita.

The Lions took a 0-3 lead at the bottom of the first with Jireh Yodech posting their fourth run. The Falcons turned the game with an all-out offensive in the fifth and sixth innings.
