After months of planning and preparation, Fitial was tremendously pleased to finally see the new charter flight service come to fruition. He expressed his appreciation to Sichuan Airlines for the additional twice weekly flights from Shanghai and Guangzhou.
“This is definitely a valuable addition for the CNMI. We hope to see more tourists from China visit our islands now that Sichuan Airlines is making the flight service available,” said Fitial. “I’m very appreciative of Chairman Lan’s support and in turn, I will continue to support Sichuan Airlines in their future developments here in the CNMI.”
At the meeting, Lan said Sichuan Airlines will continue to plan new routes to Saipan in the future.
He also indicated interest in other developments that may even include a golf course on Tinian.
The Sichuan chairman also visited Rota. He was very impressed with the beauty of the three main slands and believes that Chinese tourists will enjoy their visits to the CNMI.
