Brandon L. Borja was additionally charged with assault and battery and burglary and the police recommended a bail of $61,250 for his release.
According to information submitted to the local trial court, the incident happened early Monday morning in the house of the mother’s victim. The age of the victim was not disclosed.
The defendant entered the victim’s room through a window at around 2 a.m., police said.
The victim said the window curtains fell on her and she saw Borja climbing into the sliding window next to her bed.
Detective Peter A. Aldan said when the victim asked Borja what he was doing there, he told her, “What happened? I’ve been waiting for you.”
Court documents did not establish the relationship between the two.
Borja then sat on the bed and she kept still because she was afraid of him, Aldan said.
Moments later, the victim felt Borja touching her inappropriately.
Borja stopped when he saw “a light turned on outside her bedroom so he climbed into her closet to hide. [The mother] opened the bedroom door shortly and saw the closet moving and when she checked she saw Brandon hiding inside the closet. She called the police and when they arrived, Brandon was found still hiding inside the closet,” Aldan said.
