Gary P. Camacho, power division transmission and distribution manager said the purpose of the power interruption is to provide safety to the line crew as they replace a defective Air Break Switch on the primary lines near the Garapan Fishing Base.
The ABS is an isolation switch which provides the line crew the ability to isolate specific areas of the electrical grid when needed.
Areas to be affected: Tony Romas Restaurant south on Beach Road to the Beach Road/Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road Intersection
Camacho said CUC apologizes for any inconvenience this scheduled power interruption may impose on the community and its consumers and will continue to work diligently to minimize future interruptions.
