In a letter to the two presiding officers of the Legislature, Inos certified the salaries for the newly hired doctors of the Commonwealth Health Center.
Family physician Dr. Tanuja Marion Da. Edvalson will receive an annual salary of $140,000; anesthesiologist Dr. Kathleen Ann Fedack, $230,000; general surgeon Dr. Shun Chun Young, $185,000; and pediatrician Dr. Ungie Chui, $130,000.
Inos also approved the $70,000 annual salary for the Department of Public Works’ newly hired highway engineer, Sonya P. Dancoe.
He also re-nominated Fermin M. Sakisat for another four-year term to represent Saipan on the Commonwealth Ports Authority’s board of directors and Alice S. Igitol to the Commonwealth Zoning Board.
Acting Chief Justice Alexandro C. Castro, for his part, notified the Legislature’s presiding officers about the need to fill the positions of Superior Court law clerk and deputy clerk.
The law clerk position, Castro told lawmakers, has been vacant since Sept. 25, 2010, while the deputy clerk’s position has been vacant since Feb. 18.
He said budgetary resources are available for these two positions as established in the fiscal year 2011 budget law or Public Law 17-21.
