On Saturday, Flores met Mayor Haruichi Ogasawara and the Noboribetsu City Hall staff at the Hyatt to sign an “association agreement of amicable cities.”
The signing was witnessed by Noboribetsu City senior citizens and Kazunori Kuribayashi, chairman of the Noboribetsu Tourism Association.
Flores said he wants to see more friendly exchanges between Saipan and Noboribetsu City.
On Nov. 20, 2006, then-Saipan Mayor Juan B. Tudela and Akira Ueno, then mayor of Noboribetsu, signed the sister-city agreement.
