Taiwan provided more than $10 million for 13 projects: Ngermid Road Improvement Project, Ngarchelong State Main Road Rehabilitation, Konsai-Nekken Road Improvement Project, Airai State Road Rehabilitation Phase 5, Ngardmau State Road Improvement Project Phase 3, Koksai-Ngchesar Road Improvement Project Phase 3, T-Dock/M-Dock Road Improvement Project Phase 1, Koror State Wastewater Collection System Project Phase 3 and Ngaraard State Road Improvement Project.
Taiwan also provided funds for the Palau Ceramic Arts Project, the purchase of 12 police cars, a seafaring transportation boat for Angaur and the hiring of an aquaculture expert.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Department of Education provided Palau with nearly $2 million for eight projects undertaken by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.
These are the TB program, the epidemiology and laboratory capacity for infectious diseases, the HIV/AIDS surveillance programs, strengthening public health infrastructure for improved health outcomes, immunization and vaccines for children grants, the HIV prevention project and Special Education Part-B Grant.
From South Korea, Palau received $50,000 for the Badrulchau Tourist Rest Center, while the United Nations Development Program extended a $200,000 grant in support of the Palau Congress Project.
