Rotary president Glen Perez re-installed former past president Norbert A. Sablan, who was a member of the Saipan Rotary Club from 1987 to 2003.
Sablan, a former Civil Service Commission chief, retired after 27 years of service. He is now engaged in private retail and distribution business.
Sablan is a business administration graduate from the University of Guam. He served several posts at the Saipan Rotary Club as community services director, secretary, vice president, and club president from 1990 to 1991. He became the club international services director after his stint as president until 1992. Sablan also became a Paul Harris fellow in 1995.
Sablan told the Rotarians that he is happy to be back. During his spare time, Sablan said he enjoys playing golf and his guitar.
