One of the island’s promising rendezvous spots is now known as Oceans Club Disco & Bar.
From a mere pool bar, the club at the Paseo De Marianas in Garapan’s tourist district is now a dance club with live music.
One of the new owners, Kawagishi Katsuryuma, wanted a place that can accommodate a bigger crowd that wants to party, according to business consultant Ray Yamagishi.
Yamagishi, who grew up on island, said bands will play at the club each night.
During the grand opening on Saturday, Oceans brought in special guests: DJ Mayumi from Japan and DJ Jamaster A from Hong Kong.
Yamagishi said Oceans will “rule the nights” in Garapan with different bands, off-island and local, including Burning Bush.
