All team captains or their representatives are encouraged to attend this important meeting where vital information will be discussed and disseminated.
“We are still actively recruiting new teams who are interested in supporting the fight against cancer. We are looking for families, businesses, schools, non-profit organizations and government agencies who are keen on forming a team to help raise funds for the battle against cancer. We know that virtually everyone in the CNMI has been affected in one way or another by cancer so if you’re interested in supporting the cause, please join us on Thursday for our meeting,” said 2011 MMAC public relations committee chairman Christopher A. Concepcion.
The 2011 Marianas March Against Cancer will be held on May 13-14 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Hopwood Junior High School field in Chalan Piao.
All are invited to attend the largest cancer fundraising event in the Northern Mariana Islands.
“All funds raised at the MMAC are spent entirely in the CNMI on cancer awareness programs, cancer patient assistance and other cancer related services. So we are also looking for sponsors who are willing to donate cash or in-kind goods to this worthy cause. All funds donated are tax deductible,” said Concepcion.
