Mayor Donald G. Flores reappointed current chairman Jose C. Mafnas and member Josephine T. Sablan.
The new appointees are Ursula L. Aldan, who is from the judicial branch, and Vina Claire Saures from the Public School System. They will replace Jose C. Leon Guerrero and Maggie C. Camacho whose terms will end this month.
The mayor’s office extended its appreciation to Guerrero and Camacho for their services.
“Your dedication to making the SHEFA program successful was consistently noted throughout your tenure on the board,” the mayor’s office said.
The mayor’s executive secretary Vinycia Seman said they will submit today to the Saipan and Northern Islands Legislative Delegation all the necessary requirements they received from the two new members.
The delegation has to confirm their nominations.
In her letter, Sablan thanked the mayor for his continued confidence in her to serve on the board and to continue to assist in the workforce and manpower development needs of the island.
SHEFA Administrator Henry Hofschneider said the reappointed board members do not need to be confirmed by the delegation.
Upon the confirmation of the new appointees, the board may elect new officers, he added.
