January’s Ace the Month was bagged by Tony Deleon Guerrero who netted in a 67. Just three points over Deleon Guerrero’s score was Art Deleon Guerrero closely tailing Tony. And last but not least Jim Mitchell collared third place with a total net of 72.
Nick Sablan nailed three birdies while Manny Blas, a new SGA member, garnered three; Art Deleon Guerrero, Tony Deleon Guerrero, and Ray San Nicholas each brought in a birdie.
Joe Demapan scored a greenie on hole no. 3. Ed Sablan garnered a greenie on hole no. 7 followed by Ed Manibusan on hole no. 12, and finally Rick Kautz who bagged a greenie on hole no. 14.
Ed Manibusan and Nick Sablan took the Longest Drive of the tournament on hole no. 6 and no. 18 respectively.
Four people have joined the Saipan Golfers Association. They are: Danny Quitugua, Manny Blas, Larry Hocog, and Manny Sablan. Joining these new members are the returning members who are: Tony Deleon Guerrero, Art Deleon Guerrero, James Mitchell, Ray Salas, Jung Eun Teack, Das Krishnan, Jose Sablan, Jess Castro, Ray San Nicholas, Vicente Aldan, Mariano Fajardo, Nick Sablan, Steve Balakrishna, Joe Demapan, Rick Kautz, Edward Manibusan, Joey Deleon Guerrero, Norbert Sablan, Edward Sablan, Frances Mary Sablan, and Steve Jang.
The Saipan Golfers Association also elected a new president to serve them for year 2011. Mariano Fajardo will now brigade the association and lead them throughout their endeavors in the coming year. Other officers have not been chosen yet and are still pending in the association’s agenda.
