Rotary Club vocational services director Jeff Boyer said they are giving the schools at least one week prior to the event to confirm.
“Some schools usually wait until the last minute to confirm but we are still hoping that more schools will be joining the nine schools that will be joining,” Boyer said.
These are Golden Harvest, GTC, Kagman, Dandan, Koblerville, Garapan Green Meadow, San Vicente and Oleia elementary schools.
Boyer said that they have sent invitation letters to Tinian and Rota schools and are still waiting for a reply.
“Big awards are at stake for the top winners including a $1,000 grand prize,” he added.
The Parade of Books gives students a chance to interpret their favorite stories in a creative and colorful ways.
