The Race-Loyola duo defeated Bong Gamab and Dong Lacbayo, 6-1 and 6-3 and claimed their title with another win over Peter Loken and Lope Padilla.
Loken and Padilla earned first runner-up after beating Gamab and Lacbayo, 6-4 and 6-3.
Carl Dela Cruz and Ernie Henzon downed the teams of Darin Keizer and Jake Van Dam (6-1, 6-2) and Phil Kalen and Joe Quitugua (6-2, 6-4) to top the men’s 3.0 doubles category. Kalen and Quitugua rallied past Keizer and Van Dam (6-0, 6-1) for second place.
The women’s open doubles division – also played in a round robin format – was dominated by Thea Minor and Chloe Gadsden. Both players took on Lydia Tan and Vivan Lee, winning 6-2 and 6-3. On Saturday, Minor and Gadsden took on Amy Sletten and Nina Engelhardt and won, 6-0 and 6-2.
Meanwhile, Amami Sakano and Tommy Choi survived a six-team pool in the men’s 4.0 doubles division. They outran Eli Buenaventura and Roy Pangelinan (7-5, 6-2) in the finals, and Fernando and Chris Cajigan (7-6, 6-0) in the semis.
Tammy Ackerman and Joy Minor conquered Vicky Izuka and May Ling Colombo (6-3, 6-3) to claim the women’s 3.0 doubles title.
