Presiding Judge Robert C. Naraja sentenced Aldan, 23, to one year imprisonment, all suspended with credit for the 10 days he had already served. He was placed on one year probation.
He was required to pay a $100 fine, a $100 probation fee, and to perform 80 hours of community work service.
Judge Naraja also sentenced three women involved in theft and forgery cases: Zenita B. Cabrera, Barbie Ann Borja and Joanne Babauta Cabrera.
Zenita Cabrera was sentenced to one year imprisonment, all suspended, with credit for 19 days served at the Corrections facility.
She pleaded guilty to theft and was required to pay $3,351.32 in restitution.
Barbie Ann Borja got a five-year suspended sentence with credit for 152 days she served at the Corrections facility.
She pleaded guilty to theft by deception, forgery and was ordered to pay $5,181.58 in restitution.
Joanne Babauta Cabrera was sentenced to five years, all suspended with credit for 33 days served at the Corrections facility.
She pleaded guilty to theft by deception, forgery, and conspiracy to commit theft and was required to pay $1,574.93 in restitution.
The defendants told the court they used forged checks to buy food.
Assistant Attorney General Benjamin Petersburg was the prosecutor, while the defendants were represented by Assistant Public Defender Adam Miles, attorneys Eric Smith and Joseph Camacho.
