THE 2025 Liberation Day Committee is proud to announce Robert H. Jones, visionary entrepreneur, community advocate, and founder of Triple J Enterprises Inc., as this year’s grand marshal for the July 4th Liberation Day Parade.

Known throughout the Marianas and across the Pacific for his exceptional leadership and lifelong dedication to service, Jones has built a legacy that continues to shape the economic and social fabric of the CNMI, Guam, and the broader Micronesian region.

Born in North Carolina, Bob Jones moved to Guam in 1952 and soon became a pivotal figure in regional development through his work with Jones & Guerrero Inc., and later, through the founding of Triple J Enterprises. Under his leadership, Triple J grew from a modest automotive business to one of the largest and most diversified companies in the Pacific, operating across multiple industries and territories with a workforce of over 950 employees.

This year, Triple J proudly celebrates its 40th anniversary in the CNMI — a milestone that reflects the enduring values of service, innovation, and community. Jones’s impact extends far beyond business: his steadfast commitment to giving back has fueled initiatives supporting youth, health, education, and disaster response across the region.

Jones has also been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Saipan Chamber of Commerce’s Business Person of the Year Award, Guam Chamber of Commerce’s Business Executive of the Year Award and Individual Laureate Award, the Rotary Club of Saipan’s Citizen of the Year Award, the Boy Scouts of America’s Silver Beaver and Silver Antelope Awards, among others. These honors recognize not just his business acumen but also his role as a compassionate and engaged leader in our community.

“This year, as we celebrate our Commonwealth’s Liberation Day, it is only fitting that we honor a man who has embodied the values of hard work, perseverance, and service — the very same values that our people displayed on the liberation day nearly 80 years ago. As grand marshal of this year’s parade, Bob Jones stands as a symbol the strength, resilience, and progress of the people of the CNMI,” the Liberation Day Committee said.

“Mr. Bob Jones has been a pillar of strength and inspiration in our islands for decades,” said Ramon Camacho, mayor of Saipan. “Despite the many wavelengths of our economy, Mr. Jones has remained committed to the people of the Marianas — building opportunity, creating jobs, and giving back through every high and low. Mr. Jones truly embodies the spirit and purpose of a Grand Marshal — a figure who represents the strength, perseverance, and unity of the CNMI community.”
