BRAVES Jr. triumphed yet again, this time against Cobras Jr., 19-5, in a junior division game of the 2025 Saipan Little League Baseball at the Miguel “Tan Ge” Pangelinan Baseball Field on Sunday.
Cobras Jr. started off by causing chaos from the infield, with Franko Rian earning an RBI single, followed by three more runs scored on errors and stolen bases to establish an early 4-0 lead.
After Braves Jr. answered with a run in the bottom of the first inning, Cobras Jr. failed to keep the momentum going and fell into a defensive drought as Braves Jr. erupted for an 11-run rally fueled by stolen bases and wild pitches to take a 12-4 lead.
The lead grew even further out of reach in the third inning as Cobras Jr. were set down on three consecutive strikeouts while Braves Jr. tacked on five more runs to extend their lead to 17-4.
Cobras Jr. finally broke the silence in the top of the fourth, but managed only one run. Braves Jr.’s Zekiel Falig and Danray Barcinas responded with an RBI double and a sacrifice fly, adding two more runs to force an early end to the game via the 10-run mercy rule after just four innings, 19-4.
Winners, too
Joining the winner’s circle on Sunday were the Marlins, who slipped past the Bears, 18-17, and the Braves, who edged the Ol’Aces, 9-8.
