THE Last Shot Hobbies Sharks remain the top team in the Tuesday division of the 2025 SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball League, improving their record to 120 wins with an 11-2 victory over Black 8 Rack N Roll in a match held Tuesday night at the Last Shot Bar.
The Sharks set the tone early with a clean four-win sweep in the opening Singles 8-Ball set, led by Rolly Villanueva, who left his opponent with seven balls on the table.
They extended their dominance in the Partners 8-Ball set, with PJ Ramos and Drake Taitano each leaving their opponents with seven balls on the table, giving the Sharks a 6-0 lead.
The Sharks continued their streak in the second Singles 8-Ball set as Taitano and Ramos won the first two games. Joe Deleon Guerrero gave Rack N Roll a brief reprieve by claiming the team’s first win, but Frankie Blas quickly recovered, taking the fourth game and then pairing with Taitano to sweep the second Partners 8-Ball set (2-0), solidifying the win at 11-1.
Rack N Roll fought until the end, with Julian and John Reyes claiming the final Partners 8-Ball game over Ramos and Taitano. The match ended 11-2 in favor of the Sharks.
