Fairzesh Routs UOG Tritons To End Regular Season

(UOG) – The UOG Tritons lost their final game of the Triton Men’s Basketball League regular season on Wednesday night to Fairzesh 106-68 to finish the regular season at 0-7. The Tritons now will face league champs Guam National team in the first round of the playoffs on December 2.

Fairzesh would take an early lead on the Tritons, outscoring UOG 24-16 in the first quarter and maintaining their lead and building on it during the 2nd period, as Fairzesh won the 2nd 10 minutes 22-16 and led at halftime, 46-32.

The trend continued in the 3rd period, with Fairzesh outscoring the Tritons 23-14 and leading heading into the 4th period, 69-46.

Fairzesh exploded in the 4th period, scoring 37 points with Rodman Simina scoring 15 points himself and blasting UOG 106-68 for the final score.

Fairzesh was led by Rodman Simina with 23 points and Manne Pillias and Chris Conner with 18 points each. UOG was led by Rico Taitague with 16 points and Javen Naputi with 10.

Fairzesh is 3-4 in the Triton League while UOG is 0-7. The regular season is now complete for both teams, and the Tritons will be the #8 Seed for the playoffs and face the Guam Nationals on December 2. Fairzesh is currently in 4th place with the last day of the regular season on Monday, November 17 with the other half of the Triton League playing and will be tied for 4th place and tiebreakers will decide the final seeding.
