Rivera-Brownstein crowned the first Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas

King-Hinds is named Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas Top Model

The inaugural Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas crowned its first queen, Anne Rivera-Brownstein.

In a glittering ceremony held at the Marianas Beach Resort’s ballroom, the 26-year-old mother, who came to Saipan as an immigrant to support her family in the Philippines, was crowned.

Last Saturday evening, before the community that embraced her, Rivera-Brownstein was crowned winner of the Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas 2025 inaugural edition.

She will represent the CNMI at the Miss Asia-Pacific International pageant in the Philippines next year.

The staging of the Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas was promoted as a celebration of women empowerment and diversity.

Rivera-Brownstein took home $2,000 cash, along with the title sash and bouquet of flowers.

On stage, she exuded confidence and poise with her evening gown, gliding effortlessly under the spotlight and winning the Best in Evening Gown category. Her evening own was designed by Venus Grenio.

Rivera-Brownstein represented Navy Hill.

She also won the Best Swimsuit and the Best in Talent awards, performing a ballet dance during the pre-pageant event at the Grandvrio Resort on Nov. 13.

When called to be one of the Top 5 finalists, Rivera-Brownstein was “honestly just happy” and excited to have such an opportunity to win the beauty pageant’s inaugural title.

“In a world today when people are facing many challenges,” Rivera-Brownstein said, “I will inspire the youth by sharing her story.” She hopes to encourage them to believe in themselves and serve as a positive example.

She expressed gratitude to Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas for allowing her to show that women, regardless of circumstances, can soar as long as they believe in themselves.

Top Model Winner

Sydney Camille King Hinds was crowned Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas Top Model and will represent the CNMI at the Miss Asia-Pacific International Top Model competition in Australia next year.

She also won the Social Media award.

Along with the title sash, Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas Top Model crown and a bouquet of flower, King Hinds also brought home a cash price of $1,000.

“Thank you for supporting me first of all,” the Top Model winner said, in thanking her supporters. She urged young women to “be who you are for the CNMI and represent who we are because we are strong. We are the CNMI.”

She danced and sang her own interpretation of the Dream by Fleetwood Mac during the pre-pageant competition.

She believes that the greatest responsibility of today’s youth will be “to uphold what everybody else before you has done.” Women, she said, should always shine through no matter what. “If you just show everybody you are courageous and strong, and who you are, you will shine through,” she said.

In her evening gown, she captivated the audience with her radiant elegance, embodying sophistication, perfectly complementing her confidence and graceful presence on stage.

Local talent Bernice Shane Sabino, known for her golden voice, won first runner-up, receiving a crown, title sash, bouquet of flowers, and $800 in cash. She did not expect to reach the Top 5 but expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her, especially her family.

She believes the best example for today’s youth is to lead peers with compassion and kindness. She said Miss Asia-Pacific is a great opportunity to demonstrate these values, “because I know the world is brighter when everyone smiles.”

Tiffany Rose Velasco Libreja won the Second Runner-Up crown and Miss Congeniality award, receiving $600, while Third Runner-Up Haillerine Fernandez received $500.

Dharlee Bielle Marquez won the People’s Choice and Miss Photogenic awards.

The other Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas candidates, Ma. Analine Barcelo, Chiaralei Mendoza and Donna Rose Santiago, received certificates of appreciation in recognition for their invaluable participation and contribution to the success of Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas 2025 Coronation.” Their dedication and support helped make the celebration of beauty, culture and empowerment truly memorable.
