Career Pathways interns continue to strive for excellence

(SCC) – The Career Pathways Internship Program (CPIP) is going strong now seve months in since our launch on April 21, 2025. The remaining twenty-one interns are continuing to embrace themselves at the placement and gaining valuable lessons each day. We have two cohorts currently ongoing, and three commitments within. The 11 month commitment from Cohort 1, as well as the 6 and 9 month commitment from Cohort 2. The Cohort 1 intern reached their 7th month milestone on November 21, and Cohort 2 reached their 5th month November 16.

Last week, the program team made their routes around the island to visit our interns at their respective worksite: Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan, IT&E, Transpacific Intl Inc., CNMI Department of Commerce, PHI Pharmacy, Saipan Humane Society, AK Saipan, and Marianas Press. It was admirable to observe the difference between the initial site-visit, to now many months in. The interns are growing to be more confident in their roles, completing their assigned tasks, and responding to the inquiries with clarity. The program strategically reviewed each intern’s application at the start of the program, to align the internship placement with their aspiring careers. Hence, these student interns are gaining hands-on experience towards their lifelong goals, being able to dive deeper into the career and to see if this is what they would be interested in pursuing after high school, or possibly getting hired through the internship.

Our program is made possible through the collaboration with the CNMI Public School System, and also our all wonderful Industry Partners. Thank you for being willing to host our student trailblazers, and mentoring them at your establishments:
