Safety first for 100+ Hell of the Marianas bikers on Dec. 6

(MVA) — As participants prepare to gear up for a morning of adventure and personal challenge, organizers are putting safety first for the 100+ bikers signed up for Saturday’s (Dec. 6) Hell of the Marianas century cycle in Saipan in the Marianas.

Eight countries and territories are represented in the pack, including Korea, Japan, Philippines, the U.S., Ireland, Mexico, Guam, and the Marianas. The lineup includes Blayde Blas of Guam, winner of the 2025 National Championships Guam Men’s Elite-Road Race.

Online registration is open through Dec. 5 at www.hellofthemarianas.com/.

“We’re looking forward to great weather and a smooth race on Saturday,” said Marianas Visitors Authority Managing Director Jamika R. Taijeron. “Hell of the Marianas has always been an amazing highlight of Saipan’s most scenic nature. Thank you to all the groups, organizations, and private citizens who are welcoming participants and making plans to cheer for them during this grueling challenge! Again, we ask all drivers to please exercise caution and obey traffic officers along the route on Saturday morning. Wishing all a safe, far from ordinary race!”

All dog owners along the route are reminded to tie or fence their pets on Saturday morning for the protection of bikers. The course will proceed from Marpi to Beach Road and south to Koblerville, through Papago to Windward Road, down Capital Hill to Suicide Cliff, and back.
