THE 2025 Liberation Day Committee, together with the Saipan Mayor’s Office, is inviting empowered women aged 15 to 25 to apply for this year’s Royal Court and compete for the coveted Liberation Queen crown.
Ladies of the Royal Court will get a chance to participate in various events, public appearances, and travel opportunities to be organized by the Royal Court subcommittee and the Saipan Mayor’s Office.
“It’s a great opportunity for these women to experience more of our culture and meet new people,” Vice Chairwoman & Royal Court Chair, Bridget Maratita-Deleon Guerrero said. She aims to recruit 10 candidates for this year’s pageant.
The participants, along with their families, will also take charge of the liberation day fundraising initiative by selling raffle tickets. The Ms. CNMI Liberation Queen, Royal Princess, First Runner-up, and Princesses will be determined by the total amount of net raffle tickets sold by the candidate, her family, and sponsors (if applicable). Awardees and the rest of the candidates will receive 10% of the total funds they raised.

Liberation Day festivities begin June 19
Exciting details about this year’s festivities were announced at a recent press conference at the Saipan Mayor’s Office. The celebrations will run from June 19 to July 6, 2025 every Thursday to Sunday at the Garapan Fishing Base, with event grounds open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday and from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays. Saipan Mayor Ramon “RB” Camacho is inviting businesses, non-profits, and families to come together to celebrate this important time of year.
This year’s theme, “Weaving Heritage and Embracing Peace,” highlights the cultural significance of the CNMI’s past and its dedication to peace and unity.
The theme and official logo were designed by Isabella Teresa Satur Yiftheg, a talented student from Kagman High School. Her artwork symbolizes key elements of the CNMI’s identity which weaves together our islands’ rich cultural heritage and hope for the future.
Mayor Camacho expressed his pride in the collaborative spirit surrounding this year’s Liberation Day celebration. In a show of unity, the mayors from Saipan, Tinian, Rota, and the Northern Islands have each agreed to present a candidate for the Royal Court.
Chairwoman Frances Santos acknowledged the work ahead of the committee and the responsibility to “honor shared history, resilience, and the unity that defines the people of the CNMI.” She hinted an exciting lineup of events in the theme of remembrance, unity, and celebration.
The committee also announced that this year’s grand marshal will be Robert “Bob” H. Jones. His dedication, perseverance, and commitment to service embody the same resilient spirit that defined our people nearly 80 years ago. As the grand marshal of the July 4th Liberation Day Parade, Jones stands as a symbol of the CNMI community’s enduring strength and progress.
