SIS, WSR start strong in All School Track and Field

SAIPAN International School and William S. Reyes Elementary School are off to a strong start in the elementary category of the PSS-NMA All School Track and Field SY24-25, as several of their runners finished first in the 200m events in the U12 and U9 divisions at the Oleai Sports Complex on Tuesday.

In heat 1 of the U12 boys division, SIS’ Carver Gross finished first with a time of 35.18 followed by Brilliant Star School’s Emile Elliot (45.25) and schoolmate Daniel Yu (46.95). Four other runners did not finish.

In heat 2, WSR’s Jesus Acosta topped the race with a time of 36.33 followed by Kagman Elementary School’s Brayden Brennfleck (36.67), WSR’s Richardson Mungwaath (37.03), Gregorio T. Camacho’s Collie Togawa (37.78), and BSS’ Finley Nelson (43.59).

In heat 3, KAG’s Daviray Indalecio finished first with a time of 31.89 followed by schoolmate Caleb Mandiola (32.69), WSR’s Ramon Camacho (35.42), BSS’ Jaydin Camacho (38.02), and SIS’ JiaHeng Zang (42.31).

In the U12 girls division, SIS and BSS shared the podium finish.

Heat 1 was led by SIS’ Kaylen Taflinger with a time of 33.63 followed by WSR’s Bautista (35.75), BSS’ Claire Fehrenbacker (36.12), GTC’s Eliana Deleon Guerrero (38.24), WSR’s Janice Tenorio (39.77), and BSS’ Ever Elliot (43.66).

Heat 2 was dominated by BSS’ LoVel Speath, who clocked 33.7 followed by GTC’s Molli Camacho (35.08), WSR’s Riem Hernandez (37.93), BSS’ Simone Smith (41.05), and WSR’s Carlisa Crisostomo (43.7).

In the U9 boys division, WSR’s Liam Rabuliman (35.48) and Matthew Reyes (38.9) finished first in their respective heats. BSS’ Declan Spaeth (35.42) ruled heat 1 while Mount Carmel School’s Thomas Flores (37.7) topped heat 4.

In the U9 girls division, heat 1 was claimed by SIS’ Eleanor Anderson (35.23), heat 2 by MCS’ Chloe Mostales (35.35), and BSS’ Jairie Camacho (37.47).

In the 800m event, BSS’ Declan Spaeth finished first overall in the U9 boys division with a time of 3:16.82 while SIS’ Olivia Walsh bagged the girls division by clocking 3:33.22. In the U12 division, SIS’ Gabriel Walsh (3:03.69) and BSS’ LoVel Spaeth (3:10.42) dominated their respective categories.
