(Commonwealth Utilities Corporation) — A noticeable sewage odor may be present in the Sadog Tasi and Puerto Rico areas on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026.
The odor is associated with the activation of the Sadog Tasi wastewater treatment plant during the startup of the digester aerator unit. This is a normal operational procedure and is necessary to ensure proper treatment plant operations.
While the odor may be unpleasant, it is expected to be temporary.
