(DPS) — The Department of Public Safety advises the public that two DUI sobriety checkpoints will be conducted on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance roadway safety and reduce impaired driving.
The first checkpoint will be held on Beach Road, Garapan, on the southbound lane near the fishing base, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
The second checkpoint will take place on Beach Road, Susupe, on the northbound lane in front of the multi-purpose center, from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
DPS encourages the public to plan ahead, designate a sober driver, or use alternative transportation when consuming alcohol. These checkpoints are conducted to promote public safety and prevent alcohol-related crashes on roadways.
