(NMIBF) — The Northern Mariana Islands Basketball Federation is now accepting nominations for its board of directors.

Nominees must be bona fide residents of the CNMI for at least two years at the time of nomination and election and must remain bona fide residents throughout the term of office (2026-2030).

In addition, nominees must be nominated by an active CNMI basketball member club. Nominations must be submitted through a letter from the member club, accompanied by the nominee’s résumé and a letter of acceptance from the nominee.

A total of nine NMIBF board members are to be elected, pursuant to Article IV, Section 3 of the NMIBF bylaws.

Under Article IV, Section 5 (Staggered Board), only five of the nine board seats will be filled for the 2026-2030 term.

Elections will be conducted during the NMIBF annual general membership meeting on April 11, 2026. Directors shall be elected by a simple majority of members qualified to vote.
