Real estate appraiser reappointed to professional licensing board

GOVERNOR Arnold I. Palacios has reappointed U.S.-certified real estate appraiser Lilio B. Tiples to the Board of Professional Licensing.

In a letter to Tiples, the governor said he and Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang have complete confidence in Tiples’ unwavering commitment to serve the best interests of the CNMI people. “We greatly appreciate your willingness to continue serving on this critical board, and we are confident that your time and efforts will be invaluable to our community,” the governor said.

In a separate letter to Senate President Dennis James C. Mendiola the governor said he and the lt. governor have complete confidence in Tiples’ ability to devote his time and efforts to the best interests of the people.

He said Tiples’ knowledge and skills as a professional real estate property appraiser, especially his federally related real estate appraiser certification, make him uniquely qualified to be on the board.

His continued membership on the professional licensing board, the governor added, “is essential to ensure consistency and continuity in fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Board of Professional Licensing.”

The reappointment requires Senate confirmation.
