OVER the weekend, the Fielders surged to two consecutive victories over the Braves and Ol’ Aces, adding to their win column in the seniors division of the 2026 Saipan Little League Baseball Inc., at Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios Baseball Field.
On Saturday, the Fielders defeated the Braves, 14-5.
After a scoreless first inning, the Fielders’ middle-order depth broke the game open with aggressive baserunning that quickly loaded the bases. Several successive hits followed, producing nine runs, with nearly the entire roster contributing RBIs to establish a 9-0 lead. The Fielders added two more runs in the top of the third inning, while the Braves scored five runs in the bottom half, aided by an RBI double from Herman Iguel and an RBI triple from Max Taitano, cutting the deficit to 11-5.
Despite the Braves’ efforts, the Fielders’ strong defensive play shut them down for the remainder of the game. The Fielders added three more runs in the top of the fifth, helped by RBIs from Damian Palacios and Caleb Cabrera, sealing a 14-5 victory.
On Sunday, the Fielders continued their dominance, defeating the Ol’ Aces, 13-2.
The Ol’ Aces struggled against Fielders pitcher Kevin Schardt, who allowed no runs during his time on the mound. Offensively, the Fielders scored seven runs in the bottom of the opening inning, highlighted by a 2-RBI single from Caleb Cabrera. A solo run in the second inning and five more in the third pushed the lead to 13-0.
The Ol’ Aces scored two runs off errors after a pitching change but ultimately fell to the Fielders, 13-2.
