AS the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Spring 2026 concluded its seventh week of matches, Latte Football Club continued to hold a clean slate in the U14 girls division, acquiring its seventh straight win over Paire Football Club, 3-1, at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville last Saturday.
Latte FC’s resilience was key in setting the tone of the match. Defined by the clinical play of Darshwana Chhetri, she proved to be a nightmare for Paire FC’s defensive line as she opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and doubled the lead just before halftime in the 34th minute, giving Latte FC control, 2-0.
Paire FC refused to go quietly as it mounted a second-half comeback. Playing with the same pace as Latte FC, its efforts were rewarded in the 46th minute when LoVel Spaeth found the back of the net to cut the deficit and swing momentum, 2-1. However, Paire FC’s morale deteriorated quickly as Latte FC gradually regained momentum, with Talina Aguo-McClure silencing the comeback hopes in the 63rd minute with a decisive goal to secure the victory.
Although there was still time to even the score, Paire FC failed to muster the strength needed to force two goals and eventually accepted defeat at the hands of Latte FC, 3-1.
Joining the winners’ circle was MP United Football Club, which silenced Matansa Football Club, 5-0, to collect its second win of the season.
The match featured an offensive clinic by MP United FC. Despite a slow start, its offensive pressure was nearly unstoppable. Its dominance was sparked by Victoria George, who connected on back-to-back goals in the 30th and 46th minutes to establish the upper hand. A third goal was added by Melisa Namai-Scoggins in the 51st minute, while George followed with her third contribution five minutes later to complete a hat trick, 4-0.
Matansa FC struggled to break through a disciplined MPU backline, failing to register a goal despite several spirited runs and shot attempts. MPU, on the other hand, continued to thrive, with Miriam Flores joining the fray with the team’s fifth goal in the 64th minute to seal the deal, 5-0.
