Saipan Billiards Association resumes regular season

(Press Release) — The Saipan Billiards Association is pleased to announce its return to active competition following the disruption caused by Super Typhoon Sinlaku.

Despite the significant impact of the typhoon on the island, SBA will resume its tournament schedule in response to strong interest from players seeking to return to play, reconnect, and help ease the stress brought on by the disaster.

The postponed and interrupted matches will now continue on the following dates:

Hibiscus Division – May 26, 2026 (Tuesday)

Plumeria Division – May 28, 2026 (Thursday)

Ilang-Ilang Division – May 30, 2026 (Saturday)

SBA also confirms that several venues have completed recovery efforts and are now fully operational and ready to host matches. These include:

Last Shot Bar

Black 8 Pool Bar

Tom Yum Restaurant

Kanto 10 Saipan Vegas

VFW Post 3457

Power restoration work by the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation has been completed in these areas, allowing tournament activities to safely resume.

However, SBA regrets to announce that True North Bar will not be able to participate in the resumption of the tournament due to extensive damage sustained during the typhoon. The association extends its support and hopes for a full and speedy recovery for the establishment.

SBA expresses its gratitude to all players, venue partners, and the wider community for their patience and resilience during the recovery period. The association encourages continued unity as the island moves forward.

The Saipan Billiards Association remains committed to providing a safe, organized, and competitive environment for all players.

God bless and thank you.
