(CNMI JIC) — The CNMI Joint Information Center is reminding Super Typhoon Sinlaku survivors that the deadline to apply for the S.T.R.O.N.G Tent and Roofing program is on June 1, 2026, at 5 p.m.
CNMI homeowners affected by Super Typhoon Sinlaku may be eligible for a temporary tent and/or roof (for Saipan and Tinian) while permanent repairs are underway. The program is provided at no cost and is coordinated by the CNMI government, the Saipan, Tinian and Rota mayors’ offices, CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management, FEMA, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Department of Defense.
Visit your local Mayor’s Office to register and complete a Right of Entry form. USACE will assess your home for eligibility, and approved households will receive temporary roofing at no cost. Accepting a temporary roof will not affect FEMA disaster assistance or emergency tent eligibility.
