THE Madflex Invitational Basketball League 2026 resumed on Saturday, with New Summit riding a blazing first-half performance to secure a commanding 93–48 victory over Hybrid at the Agape Christian School gym.

The game was effectively decided in the first half, as New Summit’s relentless transition offense and sharp perimeter shooting proved too much for Hybrid to handle.

From the opening tipoff, New Summit established a blistering tempo. Jeff Victoria sparked the run with nine unanswered points early, while Austin Camacho cleaned up inside with strong rebounding and several second-chance buckets.

While Hybrid managed to respond at times, they struggled with their shooting, allowing New Summit to build a 46–21 halftime lead.

New Summit did not let up in the second half.

This time, the rest of the team joined the action. Alex Lauron and Jun Tabora took control from the perimeter, while Renren Gaviola stretched the defense with a barrage of three-pointers, putting the game well out of reach.

Despite the lopsided score, Hybrid continued to compete offensively. James Philips, Jayart Palmes, and Kevin Leomo stayed aggressive, but continued misses prevented them from closing the gap as New Summit pulled away for the win.

New Summit remains the team to beat, remaining undefeated so far this season.
