RESIDENTS of Kagman who wanted to express gratitude to Guam Power Authority linemen increased in number last week, bringing food to treat the workers from the neighboring island during a lunch buffet at Santa Soledad Parish Church on Thursday.

Santa Soledad Parish Church Lector Cherry Pangelinan said that, on behalf of the parish ministry, “we give our heartfelt gratitude to GPA workers who, in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Sinlaku, worked tirelessly.”

She said that during these challenging times, the Santa Soledad Parish Church community and the rest of Kagman “are truly grateful” for GPA staff’s hard work in restoring power and helping rebuild their villages.

Pangelinan noted that, aside from the Santa Soledad Parish Church ministry and Angel’s Market, other community members and businesses, including Aqua Resort Club, also contributed lunch for GPA workers.

Father Rey Rosal said the lunch was offered out of heartfelt gratitude for GPA linemen who worked hard in the aftermath of the storm.

Kagman resident Pete Muna said the community came together to provide an appreciation lunch for GPA linemen.

It was the second time Kagman residents had treated GPA workers to lunch. The first instance took place earlier last week.
