PRIORITY Care overwhelmed CHCC, 107-57, in Wednesday’s semifinal game at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium to secure a spot in the finals of the 2024 R&J Wine and Liquor Inter-Government/Business League.

Priority Care entered the first 10 minutes of the game firing on all cylinders with Steve King and Justice Aldan at the frontline. King quickly found his range from beyond the arc, connecting back-to-back triples while Aldan capitalized off fastbreak opportunities as the two combined for 29 points to give their team a commanding 32-15 lead.

Priority Care then allowed its second-string players to get in on the action. Although Priority Care’s scoring output was minimized in the second quarter, CHCC could only manage 11 points and fell further behind, 26-50.

In the third period, things started to look up for CHCC as Sean Apasan and Jayson Mariano found their confidence, scoring eight and four points, respectively. However, Priority Care regained its momentum thanks to Bryce Maratita, who delivered 10 points to maintain his team’s lead, 75-57.

Priority Care rode the momentum through the fourth and final quarter, with King scoring 15 points — including three treys — alongside Aldan and Sylvan Reyes to secure the victory and a spot in the finals, 107-57.
