IN the spirit of giving, the Lions Club International, District 204, Region 2 donated toy gifts for the children of the Public School System’s Early Intervention Services on Dec. 19.
“The Saipan Fil-American Lions Club first initiated this gift giving program in 1997 when they coordinated with government agencies to find recipients. This initiative was passed on to Region 2 when the club became inactive in early 2010,” said Global Service Vice Chair Lion Marie Javier.
Javier, with Global Service Chair and Past District Governor Lion Herbie Perez and Region Chair Lion Mar Masilungan, coordinated the turnover ceremony at the EIS office last week. In attendance were the presidents of the Region 2 Lions Clubs.
