(Commonwealth Utilities Corporation) — There will be an emergency water service interruption today, Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Areas affected: Chinatown, Upper Miha Housing and As Falape.
Purpose: To allow CUC water operators to repair a mainline break on the corner of Sugar King Road and Freedom Drive in Chinatown.
To ensure the safety of the CUC crew, the outermost eastbound lane on Sugar King Road will be closed. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and exercise caution while driving in the area or taking alternative routes.
Customers in the area will experience low to no water pressure between the specified hours. Allow one to two hours for the water lines to fully pressurize.
