IT&E and Priority Care continue to climb the leaderboards of the 2024 R&J Wine and Liquor Inter-Government/Business League as they dominated their respective opponents at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium on Saturday.

IT&E manhandled CHCC, 106-84.

IT&E quickly established control thanks to the two-man work of Daniel Madreo and Jhon Singca. Singca showcased his range in the early possessions of the first quarter, sinking three shots from beyond the arc while Madreo finished strong with 12 points to give their team the lead, 29-15.

Although CHCC reduced the output of Madreo in the second period, the rest of IT&E stepped up  to keep the team afloat. Billy Mallari, Marlon Torres, Aljon Vismanos and Ervin Villarin contributed four points each to maintain a comfortable distance, 56-33.

Despite trailing throughout the first half, CHCC continued to put up a fight. In the third quarter, Jack Lizama, who had been efficient from the start, stood at the frontline with nine points while Kevin Leomo, James Phillips and Alain Nunez also delivered.

However, they failed to match up on the defensive end as each of their made shot was answered by IT&E to maintain a double-digit lead, 84-57.

In the fourth and final quarter, IT&E decided to deploy their bench, but when CHCC cut the lead to 15 points, IT&E brought back their starting five to finish the job and secure the win, 106-84.

Priority Care vs FEDS

Priority Care trounced the FEDS, 75-52.

In the opening quarter, both teams traded buckets with Priority Care holding a slight advantage, 19-15.

However, the FEDS suddenly fell into an offensive slump in the second period and were held to just 11 team points while Marvin Rabauliman took over the spotlight with eight points to put Priority Care ahead by 13 points, 39-26.

Although the FEDS’ Chris Sanchez gave it his all throughout the second half, their lack of defensive coverage prevented them from catching up and they eventually had to bow down to Priority Care, which won 75-52.
