FLAMINGO Mafia topped the inter-government division of the 2024 SEDA Bud Light Dart League by trouncing True North HopTown Funk, 13-2, at the True North Bar on Saturday.

In order for the Mafia to secure first place, they had to rack up wins by executing their plays with near perfection. And that’s what they did.

Jayson John scored 26.37 PPD (points per dart) as he and teammates Garnett “Lights Out” Martin, Greg “gkawa” Iskawa, and Ben Olopai  swept the opening set of the 501 Double In/Double Out games for a 4-1 lead.

Martin and Iskawa, along with John and Olopai, then reigned supreme in the next two Partners Crazy Cricket games to extend the gap.

Martin and Iskawa bagged the first Partners 701 Double In/Double Out game, but HopTown Funk’s DJ “Bukitang” Taitano and Dominic Tudela finally stopped the bleeding by claiming the second game of the set for their team’s first win of the night.

HopTown Funk’s time in the spotlight was short-lived, however, as the Mafia resumed dominance with another four-win sweep in the Singles Regular Cricket games and a two-win victory to add the icing on the cake.

Although HopTown Funk could not escape defeat, they went down fighting with Taitano, Tudela, Benjamin Seman, and Felix Rabauliman claiming the final Team 1101 Double In/Double Out game before bowing down to the Mafia, 2-13.

The Mafia secured first place with a record of 265 wins and 125 losses.

Bistro SIA Bullshi**ers outscored 6JMS DLNR No Fear, 13-2, to claim second place with 259 wins and 131 losses.

In third place is Bistro Got Ur 6 with 256 wins and 134 losses followed by Flamingo DLP Top Tier in fourth with 243 wins and 147 losses. Coming in fifth were the Bistro Smoke Eaters with 231 wins and 159 losses.
