THE Department of Public Safety is seeking the community’s help in identifying one of the suspects in a theft of gasoline incident at Payless/Truckload Store in Chalan Kanoa on Aug. 23.

According to DPS, employees had discovered that gasoline was leaking from the bottom of one of their delivery vans.

“The van was towed to the shop where it was later discovered that the gas tank was punctured,” Assistant Chief of Police Simon Manacop said.

“Upon reviewing the company surveillance system, the company discovered that … the vandalism of their delivery truck was done on Aug. 19, at about 9 p.m. Suspects were described as carrying gas containers that were loaded onto a white Nissan Frontier. Another vehicle, described as a red Toyota Tacoma, was also seen contacting Frontier occupants,” Manacop said.

In its statement to the press, DPS included an image of the driver of the white Nissan Frontier.
