GOVERNOR Arnold I. Palacios on Friday approved two local appropriation measures for Rota.
House Local Bill 23-57, which is now Rota Local Law 23-13, appropriates the following amounts to the Department of Public Works resident office on Rota:
• $1,464 in leftover funds from the casino license fee that Imperial Pacific International paid in 2019; and,
• $509 from the Rota Municipal Scholarship Foundation Reserve Account.
H.L.B. 23-58, which is now Rota Local Law 23-14, appropriates $72,200 in poker fee collections for the following:
1) Rota Mayor’s Office, $21,000;
2) Rota Medical Subsistence Allowance, $20,900;
3) Rota Legislative Delegation, $29,000; and,
4) Rota Municipal Council, $1,300.
