M2 Fitness celebrated their fourth anniversary with senior citizens at the Saipan World Resort’s Royal Taga Hall on Saturday. In their third anniversary celebration last year, children and teenagers took center stage.
“We were surprised, but it’s a big honor for us that we were invited,” said Leticia Abegania, one of the senior citizens who were the special guests of the Zumba group.
She said M2 Fitness member Irene Dela Paz, who conducts Zumba sessions at the Manamko’ Center, invited them.
Another senior citizen, Stan Yiluy, won the most energetic dancer contest.
Senior citizens join M2 Fitness officers Mita Pelicano, Mary Grace Bautista, Julie Harrison and Irene Dela Paz during the group’s fourth anniversary celebration at the Saipan World Resort’s Royal Taga Hall on Saturday.
In her remarks, M2 Fitness co-founder Mary Grace Bautista, who now resides on Guam, said “M2 Fitness is always in my heart.”
Bautista flew back to Saipan last week to join the anniversary celebration.
“It’s been a journey of passion and dedication,” she said, adding that she is so proud of what they have achieved together.
Bautista and her friend, Mita Pelicano, started holding M2 Fitness Zumba sessions on Aug. 27, 2020, with family members and friends at the Minatchom Atdao pavilion in Susupe.
“I’m thrilled to share that our vision continues to expand and thrive,” Bautista said. “We’ve paved the way to new horizons with our recent expansion to Guam. Partnering with CrossFit Latte Stone has been a fantastic development, and our Aqua Fitness-Guam program there has quickly become incredibly popular, drawing the largest number of attendees. It’s wonderful to see how our commitment to fitness is resonating and growing in new places,” Bautista added.
She said M2 Fitness has become one of the go-to options for hotels, groups or gyms that need Zumba instructors.
Additionally, she said, their partnership with CrossFit Latte Stone may lead to an increase in Aqua Fitness classes at other hotels in the near future.
She thanked everyone for making this year’s anniversary celebration special and for being an essential part of the M2 Fitness family. “Here’s to many more years of health, happiness, and success,” she said.

Pelicano said their fourth anniversary celebration was very inspiring. She and coach Julie Harrison are now managing M2 Fitness on Saipan.
Pelicano said Bautista, despite the distance, is also helping keep M2 Fitness on Saipan intact.
“I am so grateful and proud of the M2 Fitness family,” Pelicano said. “Despite the challenges, we are still grateful because the entire M2 family is always there to support. They are very loyal.”
She said when Bautista left for Guam, it was sad because “we all depended on her.” But Bautista continues to give them encouragement and guidance, she added.
