The 80th Guam Liberation queen and her royal court were officially crowned at a gala ceremony at the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa in Tumon on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Layla Cabrini Delgado Espinal, from the village of Mangilao, is the 2024 Liberation queen. Espinal raised $52,251.03 for this year’s commemoration of Liberation Day, the Mayors’ Council of Guam announced in a press release. A total of $173,784.55 was raised. The proceeds will support the needs of the Liberation festivities, while a portion will be distributed to the sponsors and candidates.
