Get involved: Nominate now for the 2024 Bridge of Light Award

(NMCADSV) — The Northern Marianas Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence encourages the community to nominate deserving individuals for the 2024 Bridge of Light Award or BOLA. This award commends individuals who demonstrate consistent dedication to aiding victims, survivors, and the entire community in addressing domestic and sexual violence in the CNMI.

BOLA recognizes individuals within eligible agencies, organizations, or offices in the CNMI who have significantly contributed to these efforts. Ideal candidates include service providers, first responders, representatives, or volunteers with at least one year of service. Nominees should exemplify qualities such as leadership, victim advocacy, community education, prevention initiatives, and resource development.

“By nominating someone who embodies these qualities, you shine a light on the passion and unwavering commitment of those striving to make our community safer and more supportive for victims and survivors,” said Kiki I. Benjamin, associate director of NMCADSV.

Nominees for recognition can include victims, survivors, their families, friends, and anyone affiliated with eligible agencies, organizations, or offices in CNMI. To nominate someone deserving, visit  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BOLA2024 by Sept. 13, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.

Nominations will undergo thorough review, focusing on the information provided. It’s advised to offer detailed explanations of why the nominee deserves recognition.

The recipient of the 2024 Bridge of Light Award will be announced during the Domestic Violence Awareness Month Proclamation Signing ceremony in October. The awardee will also be given an exclusive opportunity to participate in a national training program provided by NMCADSV and will receive self-care prizes sponsored by Tan Siu Lin Foundation and Bridge Capital LLC.
